Today I wanted to share with you some Shabbat joy. We work hard all week long, deal with life and the world... Why not take one day to just rejoice in our Lord, and rest?
This is a traditional song that is sung on the Sabbath in many Jewish homes:
Come my Beloved to greet the bride--the Sabbath presence let us welcome!
Lecha dodi likrat kalah, p'nei Shabbat nekablah!
Enjoy your day of rest, and remember:
"The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath." Mark 2:27-28
