Job experience

The third reason God allows us to suffer bad experiences sometimes, without helping us through them in an obvious manner, is because He wants to prove to Satan that we are faithful to God.

Not unlike Job. Job was a good man, who was faithful and righteous. God was proud of him; but Satan, the Accuser, was not impressed. He demanded Job’s faith to be put to the test, and God agreed. Now, personally (and please don’t chew my head off), I don’t believe that it’s a true story, and am quite convinced that it’s a parable; but the message is quite clear. Job had to suffer terribly just because Satan was accusing him of being unfaithful to God, and God wanted to prove to Satan that Job was indeed a godly man. God wanted to show him off.
The book of Job

This message is conveyed in Matthew 10:28:

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Many times, especially when we serve God with all our might, Satan will try to stop us by complaining about us and trying to present us as unfaithful to God. God allows Satan to tempt us to lose our faith, because He knows our faith, and He knows that we will not lose it. He already knows the result of the test, but Satan doesn’t.

When we handle the difficulties with faith, we win over Satan, and we glorify God’s name!

So, as I said in my previous blog entry, if you are facing great obstacles, it’s because God thinks very highly of you. What a wonderful compliment from the Creator of the universe, who knows the end from the beginning, and nothing is hidden from His eyes. If He allows you to go through it - be sure that you have the strength, courage and capability to handle it, or else God would have prevented it from the start!

Let me sign off by reminding you of Peter's comforting words in 1 Peter 3:13-14:

“And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled…”

I love you all, my precious brothers and sisters. Be of good courage, and never give up! Remember, the end of the Book has already been written, and those who hold firmly to the cross, are going to be victorious forever!
