Taking time off to be with Jesus

My dear readers,

I have been writing this blog for two and a half months now, and have now 100 posts, plus this one :).

I know some of you read it every time. I don't know you by name, but I know you read my words; and I appreciate it - I appreciate you!

Keeping a blog isn't easy; it takes dedication and perseverence. When I began, I decided to do it for Jesus, and for the sake of glorifying his holy name. I continue to write despite all the obstacles because it's my small gift to him, coming from my heart.

I haven't missed a day since I started.

I am now going to be away for a couple of days. We are taking 4 days off, just so we can rejoice with Jesus and with all that he has blessed us with. I am not going to be online until Sunday night, when we return.

God has been so good to us, taking care of us in the midst of this spiritual Egypt. We are eager to dedicate this time for him, and offer back to him all that was given.

So I apologize. You can revisit some of my older posts :)... I know I do sometimes, for the encouragement. I will tell you a secret; I read some things in my blog and don't believe I wrote them... It must have been the Holy Spirit because the words are too beautiful to be my own at times...

I will see you Sunday night!

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Psalm 149

Praise ye the Lord.
Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:
let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Let them praise his name in the dance:
let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Let the saints be joyful in glory:
let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
and a two-edged sword in their hand;

To execute vengeance upon the heathen,
and punishments upon the people;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints.
Praise ye the Lord.

Father's blessings

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.
Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his Father called him into his private study and told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.
Many years passed and the young man was a very successful businessman.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away and had willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. In tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse: Matthew 7:11 "And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father, who is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words.... PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Let us be careful!

A love song

Above all

Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

There are no words to describe how much I love you, Jesus. You died for me, so I can live; and yet, I don't deserve it. But that didn't matter to you, because you did it out of love; and I know that you would have done it even if it was just for me alone. I wish I had the words to express the gratitude I feel. You are the only thing that matters!

Your faithful servant,

Psalm 111

Psalm 111
Praise ye the Lord.
I will praise the Lord with my whole heart,
in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

The works of the Lord are great,
sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered:
the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion

He hath given meat unto them that fear him:
he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works,
that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

The works of his hands are verity and judgment;
all his commandments are sure.

They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:
his praise endureth for ever.

Hallelujah! How great is our God!

Persecution Watch

This video tells the shocking story of Shafia, a Christian woman from Pakistan. Shafia's brother was murdered for trying to protect the Christians in his village. Shafia herself was kidnapped, locked in a small room, and raped for four months. Her whole family was forced into slave labor in order to release her.

This is her story.

Please watch it; it is a very touching story, and has a lesson for us all about our faith in Jesus, and about forgiveness.

And please, keep praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. It is your prayers that sustain them.

Times are hard, as Jesus told us they would be, and many Christians suffer for their faith. We must stay faithful and strong and always remember them in our prayers.

What is Compassion?

Yesterday, I went to the bakery to get some pastry. I got into a conversation with the lady behind the counter, and we started talking about the unusual heat wave we had been experiencing lately. I told her about our plans to go camping next weekend, she got all excited, and began reminiscing about the time when she used to go camping with her kids and her brother, and suddenly she started crying. She told me that her brother had a heart attack a few years ago, at the age of 43, and that he had passed away. She shared with me the shock of his unexpected death, and how much she missed him. She went on for a while, just sharing her pain with me, and I listened to her, and offered my sympathy. She stopped talking when another customer came in, and thanked me from the bottom of her heart before saying goodbye.
Why did she thank me? I didn’t bring her brother back, nor did I take away her pain… What was she thanking me for?
For a short time, she was not alone in her anguish; she had someone to share it with, someone who listened and sympathized. That was all she needed at the time, and that’s why she was grateful.
A story is told of a little girl who returned home late from an errand. When her mother asked her to explain why she was late, the child said she had met a friend who was crying because her doll was broken. Pleased, the mother expressed surprise that her little girl had known how to fix a broken doll. But the child said, “No, Mommy, I didn’t fix her doll. I couldn’t. It was broken too bad. I just sat down and helped her cry.”
We can’t always fix other people’s problems; we are not expected to. What we are expected to do as Christians is care and have compassion for one another. Sometimes, an ear is all that’s needed…
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous

"Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous"       1 Peter 3:8

Sabbath Queen

Today, in honor of the Sabbath, I want to share this song with you. It is called Sabbath Queen; it was sung by Ofra Haza, a popular Israel singer, who died a few years ago. It is a lovely song, and I hope you'll enjoy it...

Sabbath Queen

When the day darkens, at the time of sunset,
Then the pure one, the perfect one, spreads her wings.
And I go forth to greet her in song and prayer,
The sabbath bride.

How beautiful are you, Sabbath Queen,
Descending in splendor from the highest heaven,
And the Lord will spread a blessing over the chosen people.
La la la...

I raise my eyes to you and my soul trembles,
See how my heart rejoices with the whole world's joy.
Stay with us, pure one, we will sing hymns for you,
And the light of your glory will shine forth.

How beautiful are you, Sabbath Queen,
Descending in splendor from the highest heaven,
And the Lord will spread a blessing over the chosen people.
La la la...

See the candles glowing as a symbol in your
honor,
They pour forth magic and holiness at your coming.
You, Queen, make the sad joyful, you most delightful of days,
From generations of antiquity.

How beautiful are you, Sabbath Queen,
Descending in splendor from the highest heaven,
And the Lord will spread a blessing over the chosen people.
La la la...

Saved=Victorious

It is really that simple. If you accept Jesus as your savior, you have eternal life. In the eternity, we know that Jesus reigns in victory, and no evil exists anymore.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.     Revelations 22:3-5
In the eternity, where you belong, where you are from, you are victorious!
All these problems you are facing now – they are over; you are victorious!
Your pains and sorrow –all healed; you are victorious!
Your losses and lacks fulfilled; you are victorious!
saved equals victorious

Everything that is wrong, unfair, unjust or unrighteous is no more - you are victorious!
Walk victoriously, knowing that you have already won. Don’t struggle – embrace your victory. It is so simple and true. It will take the burden off your shoulder to remember that what you see is a mere reflection of the whole truth, being obstructed by the lies of Satan, who doesn’t want you to know the truth – that you are victorious over him! You have won, and Satan has lost! The book has already been written, and the end cannot be changed. And in the end, those who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ are victorious!
Walk victoriously; with your hearts singing with joy that your  Lord and Savior overcame the world; look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh!

God's Message to Woman

I came across this today on the web, and wanted to share it. I thought it was very heartwarming.

God's Message to Woman
Author: Unknown

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.

Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do.

Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart.

Support man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are my perfect angel. You are my beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtue in your heart. Your eyes -- don't change them. Your lips -- how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose so perfect in form, your hands so gentle to touch.

I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I've held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like me.

Adam walked with me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you: my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support.

You are special because you are the extension of me. Man represents my image -- woman, my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.

So man -- "treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile". In hurting her, you hurt me. What you do to her, you do to me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father and the heart of her Father. Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

God is our refuge and strength

Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

Selah.

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:
God shall help her, and that right early.

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved:
he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Selah.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
what desolations he hath made in the earth.

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth;
he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder;
he burneth the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Selah.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed

Encouraging words for all of us who need comfort and strength!

Glory To The King

Glory To The King
Hillsong

Lord,my heart cries out
Glory to the King
My greatest love in life
I hand You everything
Glory,glory
I hear the angels sing.

Open my ears
Let me hear Your voice
To know that sweet sound
Oh my soul rejoice
Glory,glory
I hear the angels sing

You're the Father to the fatherless
The answer to my dreams
I see you crowned in righteousness
We cry glory to the King
Comforter to the lonely
The lifter of my head
I see You veiled in majesty
We cry glory,glory
We cry glory to the King

There is nothing better to do in life than praise our glorious King. There is nowhere better to be than in his holy presence.

Time is running out, and the presence of darkness, as foretold for the last days is permeating.

Praise is your line of defence. Please, don't ever stop praising, even in your darkest hour!

Receive the kingdom of God as a little child

The Empty Egg
Author Unknown

Jeremy was born with a twisted body and a slow mind. At the age of 12 he was still in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became exasperated with him. He would squirm in his seat, drool, and make grunting noises. At other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain. Most of the time, however, Jeremy just irritated his teacher.

One day she called his parents and asked them to come in for a consultation. As the Forresters entered the empty classroom, Doris said to them, "Jeremy really belongs in a special school. It isn't fair to him to be with younger children who don't have learning problems. Why, there is a five year gap between his age and that of the other students."

Mrs. Forrester cried softly into a tissue, while her husband spoke. "Miss Miller," he said, "there is no school of that kind nearby. It would be a terrible shock for Jeremy if we had to take him out of this school. We know he really likes it here." Doris sat for a long time after they had left, staring at the snow outside the window. Its coldness seemed to seep into her soul. She wanted to sympathize with the Forresters. After all, their only child had a terminal illness. But it wasn't fair to keep him in her class. She had 18 other youngsters to teach, and Jeremy was a distraction. Furthermore, he would never learn to read and write. Why waste any more time trying?

As she pondered the situation, guilt washed over her. Here I am complaining when my problems are nothing compared to that poor family, she thought. Lord, please help me to be more patient with Jeremy. From that day on, she tried hard to ignore Jeremy's noises and his blank stares. Then one day, he limped to her desk, dragging his bad leg behind him.

"I love you, Miss Miller," he exclaimed, loud enough for the whole class to hear. The other students snickered, and Doris' face burned red. She stammered, "Wh-why that's very nice, Jeremy. N-now please take your seat."

Spring came, and the children talked excitedly about the coming of Easter. Doris told them the story of Jesus, and then to emphasize the idea of new life springing forth, she gave each of the children a large plastic egg. "Now," she said to them, "I want you to take this home and bring it back tomorrow with something inside that shows new life. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Miss Miller," the children responded enthusiastically-all except for Jeremy. He listened intently. His eyes never left her face. He did not even make his usual noises. Had he understood what she had said about Jesus' death and resurrection? Did he understand the assignment? Perhaps she should call his parents and explain the project to them.

That evening, Doris' kitchen sink stopped up. She called the landlord and waited an hour for him to come by and unclog it. After that, she still had to shop for groceries, iron a blouse, and prepare a vocabulary test for the next day. She completely forgot about phoning Jeremy's parents.

The next morning, 19 children came to school, laughing and talking as they placed their eggs in the large wicker basket on Miss Miller's desk. After they completed their math lesson, it was time to open the eggs. In the first egg, Doris found a flower. "Oh yes, a flower is certainly a sign of new life," she said. "When plants peek through the ground, we know that spring is here." A small girl in the first row waved her arm. "That's my egg, Miss Miller," she called out. The next egg contained a plastic butterfly, which looked very real. Doris held it up. "We all know that a caterpillar changes and grows into a beautiful butterfly. Yes, that's new life, too." Little Judy smiled proudly and said, "Miss Miller, that one is mine." Next, Doris found a rock with moss on it. She explained that moss, too, showed life. Billy spoke up from the back of the classroom, "My daddy helped me," he beamed.

Then Doris opened the fourth egg. She gasped. The egg was empty. Surely it must be Jeremy's she thought, and of course, he did not understand her instructions. If only she had not forgotten to phone his parents. Because she did not want to embarrass him, she quietly set the egg aside and reached for another. Suddenly, Jeremy spoke up. "Miss Miller, aren't you going to talk about my egg?" Flustered, Doris replied, "But Jeremy, your egg is empty." He looked into her eyes and said softly, "Yes, but Jesus' tomb was empty, too."

Time stopped. When she could speak again, Doris asked him, "Do you know why the tomb was empty?" "Oh, yes," Jeremy said, "Jesus was killed and put in there. Then His Father raised Him up."

The recess bell rang. While the children excitedly ran out to the schoolyard, Doris cried. The cold inside her melted completely away.

Three months later, Jeremy died. Those who paid their respects at the mortuary were surprised to see 19 eggs on top of his casket....... all of them empty.

Inportant instructions from Jesus himself

He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:20-27

You are special!

The Twenty Dollar Bill

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

The hands went up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?"

He dropped it on the ground and started grinding it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, crumpled and dirty and asked, "Now who still wants it?"

Again the hands went up into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was worth $20 regardless of what I did to it."

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value in God's eyes. To Him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to Him.

The worth of our lives come not in what we do or who we know but by who we are!

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Psalm 147:4

I will extol thee, my God, O king!

Psalm 145
 I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless thee;
and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise thy works to another,
and shall declare thy mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty,
and of thy wondrous works.

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts:
and I will declare thy greatness.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness,
and shall sing of thy righteousness.

The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion;
slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all:
and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord;
and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom,
and talk of thy power;

To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts,
and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

The Lord upholdeth all that fall,
and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

The eyes of all wait upon thee;
and thou givest them their meat in due season.

Thou openest thine hand,
and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works.

The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him:
he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

The Lord preserveth all them that love him:
but all the wicked will he destroy.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord:
and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

How great is our God!

On a personal note:

I run a ministry in form of a small business for Hebrew translation and other evangelism resources, which serves many other ministries at a low cost, as well as runs its own evangelism programs.

Sometimes I take on jobs unrelated to Jesus, just to support the ministry, but prefer not to waste my time on things that don't golrify God, especially for money...

Please help me reach more ministries that require services such as those I offer, by clicking "Like" on our Facebook pages :)

Thank you so much, and God bless you :)

Shut up and praise God!

About two years ago, I heard a message from Jesus. He told me that hard times were coming, and then he said to me, when they do, shut up and praise!

Today, I reflected on those words again, and really saw something. Let me share it with you:

But let us take a few steps back for a moment, quite a few years ago… One morning, I heard Jesus, again, just giving me a message, no further ado, telling me to go to Jerusalem with him… I was living about an hour and a half away at the time… So I got on the bus, and went to Jerusalem. I booked a room for the night and went for a walk in the Old City, along the Via Dolorosa. Jesus showed me many things on that trip, but the relevant one I want to talk about was about Worship. He explained to me how when we worship God, we are standing within the purpose of creation. This is the reason for which the universe was created – to praise God!

Praise God!

Today I understood the meaning better. I thought of the rough patch I was coming out of, and considered the times I walked better in victory. I saw the difference immediately.

I listen to praise music all the time; also to psalms, just in the background... But the times I walked more victoriously are the times I walked humming a worship song. I’m certain of that!

While we praise God, we are literally walking in alignment with the purpose of creation. Creation craves to be aligned with its purpose, and bows down to the will of God. It is very powerful – to be walking around; in a dark and cynical world, which destroys creation without blinking twice; but yet being above all that, In another realm… Where pain and death and sin have been swallowed up forever…

You get so much positive feedback from creation when you walk around in harmony, just humming a tune, praising your God with every breath that you have.

Try it; I really do recommend it!

Stay blessed, and stay tuned,

Where is the true God?

I came across this story, by a Muslim man named Anwar Iqbal. In this story he mourns the loss of his God. Although he's expressing his thoughts and feelings regarding Islam, this story can teach us all a very important lesson. It brought tears to my eyes, and I felt the need to share it.

Where is the true God?
by Anwar Iqbal

We were in our backyard -- God and me -- when they came. They took him away and changed him. He was a friendly God before. We roamed around together, holding hands. We collected colored feathers, glorious flowers and chased delicate butterflies. And we could talk, spend hours in friendly chats. When they came we were having an important friend-talk. He was explaining why butterflies stain our hands and fireflies do not burn. They were all big men. Some bearded, some not. Some had guns, some did not. Some carried swords and spears. Others had hefted heavy sticks.
They came and shouted: "We cannot let God waste his time. We are here to save him from children and butterflies. He is too important for childish thoughts. He has more important things to do. Give him to us." They lifted God on their shoulders and marched from my garden, chanting slogans. And they took him away. From me and my house. From my village and my city. From that day on, nobody has seen my God. Nobody knows where he is, where they took him. He does not talk to children anymore. He does not talk to us at all.

Where is the true God?

They bring all his orders to us and say: This is what God says. Do it. Those who do not are kicked, beaten, flogged and killed. All in the name of my God! He has changed so much since they took him that I do not recognize him anymore. He is not the God I loved. He is their God. He no longer speaks the language of butterflies and fireflies. His orders are not that of a loving friend. He talks like earthbound rulers.
I still miss Him a lot. I want the God of butterflies and flowers.
I want to say to him, "O God how much I want you to come down from your heavenly abode and play with me. I want to be a little child again. I want to hold your hand and run with you. Deep into the jungle. And when the jungle scares me, I want to hide in your arms. I want you to stay there, wait for me. Don't abandon me like others. You are more kind than a mother. And more caring than a father.
"I want you to leave all your work aside for one day, just one day. Yes, I know it is important. I know it is you who brings clouds from the sea and makes them rain on the thirsty earth. So that we could smell the mist and the raindrops stir in the dry soil. It is you who brings the monsoon, holding the reins of the sun, the moon, the stars and the planets in your hands. And change the seasons for your children.
"It is you who prevents people from killing each other. You yearn for us to live under the loving care of our friends. It is you who feed insects hiding under the stone. And give warmth to the poor sitting around the fire. You also fetch a glass of water for the beggar woman. You fill our dreams with color and light and bring sleep to our burning eyes. You protect the travelers. And save us from our own madness.
"Yes you have so many important things to do. But you have always done this and more. Only you know how old this universe is. And how unending your daily chores. But you also know that my stay here is short. My age is not numbered in solar years.
"I want to hold your hand and walk in the cruel crowd, holding my head high. So that everybody could see you have dodged your bearded guards. And returned to children and butterflies.
"I want to watch them and smile at them. And you, my provider, I don't want much from you. Just buy me a plate of chic peas, some oranges and some mangoes (they do not grow in the same season but you get them both for me!).
"I also want you to fetch a glass of cold sherbet with crushed ice. And let me put my head on your shoulders (don't be upset with me, this is how your children behave). And sleep, a long, long sleep.
"And when I do, you quietly close my eyes and take me to the journey that awaits us all. If you are with me, why should I be afraid of any journey?"

Dear Mr. Iqbal: I hope you find the true God, which no one can take away... My Jesus still holds hands with me while we collect colored feathers, glorious flowers and chase  delicate butterflies...

Will you join us?

Behold He comes!

Revelation 19

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:  For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
King of Kings and Lord of Lords

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

We know what is coming. That day is near. Are you ready?

Stay blessed, and stay tuned,

Jesus paid it all!

In life, we struggle. We struggle to be happy in a sad world; we struggle to be well in a mean world; but most of all, we struggle to keep our faith in a dark world.

There is much to be said about the first two struggles I mentioned:  Life is full of difficulties, especially for those who walk upright, because this world has not been redeemed yet.

But for us, who have been redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, there is absolutely no reason to suffer. Our faith should always remain strong! Even if we fail, as I mentioned in my previous blog entry, and lose some of the grip we have on that glorious and blessed hope, we must get up, and keep walking towards the goal – the gates of Heaven – where Jesus is waiting for us!

Jesus died for you, exactly because he knew you would never be able to make it to the gates, and through them, without him. He died for you because he wants you there – in the Kingdom of Heaven – with him. You are welcome to enter through the gates because Jesus died for you.

Jesus does not expect you to go through this world on your own! He didn’t die for you just to lose you on the way… He’s right there with you, watching over you, guiding you to the gates, and making sure you’ll get there…

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

You need not struggle so much… Rest in the faith; be encouraged by the fact that you are going to spend eternity in a glorious place, with Jesus. You have already won; your struggles are only the illusion that Satan wants you to believe. You can rise on wings of eagle above the storms of life, by looking at Jesus only, and hearing him alone.

Listen to your good shepherd; he will take you home safely!

Stay blessed, and stay  tuned,
